NACON and Big Ant Studios have revealed a new Rugby 25 trailer and confirmed the game’s release date for February 13 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
Rubgy 25 will feature over 140 officially licensed international teams, legendary stadiums and the sport’s most prestigious tournaments. Since Rugby 25 entered early access last June, the development team has been dedicated to expanding the game with monthly content updates.
Working closely with top professional rugby players worldwide, the developers have utilized photogrammetry technology to create highly detailed in-game likenesses, enhancing the realism of the experience.
For the first time ever in a rugby video game, Rugby 25 features a significant selection of the world’s top women’s rugby teams, including New Zealand, Ireland, Australia, Argentina, Italy and the USA.
The game offers multiple modes for both single and multiplayer experiences, along with the introduction of Big Ant Studios’ renowned “Academy” feature to the rugby franchise. This tool gives players the freedom to create their own players, teams and even stadiums, allowing for fully customized matchups in the venue of their choice.
Rugby 25 will also include a deep career mode, enabling players to train their teams, plan tournaments, manage rest periods and develop game strategies in pursuit of victory.
