When it comes to MLB The Show 24 sliders, as always we have an entire forum dedicated to various slider sets. One version that has been around multiple years is the S & B sliders, and they’re back this year from OS user bryanm1982.
It’s still early so it’s tough to say what difficulty level will win out for a majority of OSers, but it feels like with hitting that Hall of Fame difficulty is winning out so far. These sliders can work on multiple difficulty levels, but they are based on HOF difficulty.
In addition, I’ll let bryanm explain everything in-depth below, but I do want to make clear that two legacy issues with The Show are bullpen usage and complete games being too high for starters in simulated games (otherwise the stats are really good this year overall). So that is why below you’ll see a couple specific things called out as things you can change depending on whether you simulate or play the games, and also how to setup bullpens (specifically for franchise mode).
HOF Simulation Sliders For MLB The Show 24
This set is as close as default as I ever played the Show. Just a bump up in Contact will let us stick to HOF and not go to Legend. This should also play well with Allstar as well if needed. I want to give a big thanks to TC020791 for his help with the base of these sliders. He used something close to this on 23 and I played with those settings for the last month of 23. So we just made some minor tweaks.
The main goal of this set is to have fun playing the game we love. But also, make it feel as real as possible. I don’t want every game to be the same and be a home run or nothing type of game. The goal of this set is to get about 10-15% of your hits being home runs and about 60-70% singles.
We got this tip from Dowie to help with the CPU SP. Before you start a new series with the team, you raise the CPU’s starting pitchers Stamina by 10. That will get them to pitch longer in game and not get pulled too early. If they are at 92, raise it to 99. At the end of the series, don’t forget to bring the stamina back down and do it for the next team you play.
I recommend you have a different sim slider for when you simulate games. Have the settings below. That will control the amount of complete games around the league.
SP Stamina: 5
RP Stamina: 5
Hook: 10
If you use 30-man control in your franchise:
For the bullpen setup, I recommend the following setup with 13 pitchers.

SU1: Best setup man
