mlb the show 22 realistic slidersLike most sports video games, MLB The Show 22 doesn’t play exactly the same online as it does in single-player modes against the CPU. One significant difference, for instance, is that the AI can be manipulated to play either easier or harder depending on how much of a challenge you want. You can find a lot of slider sets through the MLB The Show community, including quite a few in the forums of this website. Using a few of those as a resource when starting out, I slowly began to experiment with altering certain sliders on my own when I still wasn’t seeing realistic stats in some categories. As someone who has played MLB The Show every year since the release of the first game in the series, my own MLB The Show 22 sliders are meant for experienced players who are looking for a challenge and are willing to lose games when they don’t play well.

State of Diamond DynastyWhen 2021 became 2022, I found myself more excited than ever for the next edition of MLB The Show. That anticipation only grew as Shohei Ohtani was revealed as the cover athlete. Then the fabled Feature Premieres began and gave us a look at this year’s game. Every week — every day really — was building more and more anticipation leading up to launch. Now nearly two months after launch, I’m barely motivated to turn the game on and would like to talk about it. Welcome to the State of Diamond Dynasty in MLB The Show 22.

Before I get into the state of Diamond Dynasty in MLB The Show 22, I think it’s important to note that I’m speaking specifically about Diamond Dynasty and online gameplay. This article doesn’t reflect views on the offline experience outside of Diamond Dynasty.

madden nfl 23 gameplayAnother new gameplay feature in Madden23 is that defenders can now blow up blocks or the ball carrier using the hit stick button. I use this often (it’s not OP), most notably as a blitzing linebacker running over a running back on my way to the quarterback. This is countered offensively with add-on blocks, allowing players who may not be involved in the play to add to a run or chip on a pass play. Running backs are also more intelligent, and instead of getting stuck on the back of an offensive lineman, they navigate their way towards daylight. The only issue I found with this is the actual animation. I often saw the running back’s legs or body warp into the offensive lineman. Nevertheless, it was a breath of fresh air not to get stuck behind a wall of offensive linemen, only to be tackled in the backfield for a critical loss.
