FUT Birthday is about celebrating the history of the Ultimate Team, and so EA FC 25 is putting the spotlight on the cards that were a menace back in the day, despite what their rating suggested. We are dialing back a decade ago to FIFA 15, where a Roma trinity of Seydou Doumbia, Victor Ibarbo, and Gervinho led the line for every sweaty team thanks to their links and being stupidly overpowered.
The trio have their FUT Birthday card added as a part of Team 2, and you can also get a free version that can be upgraded with Evolution, similar to Zidane and Diego Maradona. The past is the past and all that matters now is how good their cards are in EA FC 25. And, more importantly, is their Evolution worth the investment?
Below is absolutely everything you need to know about the free version of Seydou Doumbia, Victor Ibarbo, and Gervinho, including their respective Evolutions.
How To Unlock Victor Ibarbo, Gervinho, And Seydou Doumbia In EA FC 25

All three cards of Victor Ibarbo, Gervinho, and Seydou Doumbia can be unlocked through Objectives in EA FC 25. You unlock Ibarbo first by simply playing one match in any Ultimate Team mode. To get Gervinho, you also have to play one game with Ibarbo in your starting 11, and likewise, you need to play one game with Gervinho to unlock Doumbia.
You can find the Objective in the Streets Won’t Forget section under the Live Objective. Remember, the cards have to be in your starting 11 and not as subs to count towards the completion. You’re free to sub them any minute after the game begins, however.
Once you’ve unlocked all three, you need to play them together in your starting eleven for three games to get the 3 of 5 Playstyles+ picks. Even if you’re not interested in the cards, it is worth doing this Objective as it gives 1,000 SP.
Best Playstyle+ Pick For Ibarbo, Gervinho, And Doumbia
Once you pick Playstyles+ through the Objective for the Roma trio, you can upgrade and add any of the chosen three Playstyles+ through Evolution. You’ll find the Evolution in the “Rewards & Cosmetic” section. The five choices you get are Technical+, Tiki Taka+, Press Proven+, Whipped Pass+, and Power Shot+.
Speaking strictly based on current strength and meta, Technical+, Tiki Taka+, and Press Proven+ are three strong choices, with Power Shot+ being good for Doumbia. An ideal pick here would be Power Shot+ for Doumbia, Technical+ for Gervinho, and either Press Proven+ or Tiki Taka+ for Ibarbo.
Yes, both Doumbia and Gervinho already have the base versions of these, but there is a big difference between silver and gold Playstyles, and it is worth the upgrade. Gervinho’s build is the most agile among the three and has the highest agility and dribbling, making him a better candidate for Technical+. Doumbia is a striker so Power Shot+ is good to have, though you’re free to pick Tiki Taka+ for one-touch play to make him more complete or something else like Press Proven+, too.
For Ibarbo, we lean more towards Press Proven+ than anything else, but if you’re using him as an out-and-out winger, Whipped Pass+ is an option, though not the best pick. You’re likely to use both the wingers as an Inside Forward, so something like Whipped Pass+ becomes the less obvious pick over others. You can also switch and do Techincal+ on Ibardo and go with Tiki Taka+ for Gervinho.
To sum up, here are all the good Playstye+ picks for the three players:
- Doumbia
- Ideal: Power Shot+
- Other options: Tiki Taka+, Press Proven+
- Gervinho
- Ideal: Technical+
- Other options: Tiki Taka+, Press Proven+
- Ibarbo
- Ideal: Technical+, Tiki Taka+
- Other options: Press Proven+
Of course, these are just general recommendations and you’re free to pick any you prefer as long as it makes sense. We have also assumed you’ll do all three Evolutions, so if you’re doing just one, pick the best one that you like.
Another option here is to not do it at all and instead do other Evolutions that give you the desired Playstyles and roles. The cards overall are low, so there is a chain possibility, even if not now then in the future.
How To Complete Streets Won’t Forget Evolution & All Upgrades In EA FC 25

Once you get the cards through Objectives and add your desired PlayStyles+, all you have to do is toss them to their respective Streets Won’t Forget Evolutions. You’ll need 150,00 Coins or 500 FC Points for each. They all have the same challenges and max overall of 90 but get different upgrades:
Total Upgrades | Doumbia | Gervinho | Ibarbo |
---|---|---|---|
Pace | +1 | +1 | +3 |
Shooting | +8 | +16 | +14 |
Passing | +16 | +16 | +17 |
Dribbling | +9 | +9 | +10 |
Defending | +5 | +1 | +2 |
Physical | +7 | +8 | +6 |
Roles | False 9++ | Inside Forward++ (LM) | Inside Forward++ (RM) |
Playstyles | Power Shot, Relentless, Aerial, Rapid | Finesse Shot, Relentless, First Touch, Technical | Finesse Shot, Relentless, First Touch, Trivela |
Playstyles+ | Quick Step+ | Rapid+ | Quick Step+ |
Challenges for the Evolutions are the same as for any other — play several games across modes and win some along the way. The least stressful and easiest will be Squad Battle or Rush.
Is Streets Won’t Forget Evolution Worth Doing In EA FC 25?
Unless you’re in it for the nostalgia, it is not worth doing all three of the Streets Won’t Forget Evolution in EA FC 25. At this point in the game cycle, it is unlikely that the trio — with the upgrades we listed above — will break into your team, provided you have been playing for a couple of months. And newer players are unlikely to have the finances to do it.
Then there are other options like Evolutions to consider. Even if the current ones don’t necessarily improve them compared to Streets Won’t Forget, future ones might, or offer a cheaper path. Obviously, if you do need the specific position being filled, all three are very capable cards, so doing the Evolution is not the worst decision you can make.
As we suggest with any other Evolutions, wait until the end to see if you can fetch a better upgrade. FUT Birthday cards for them are also pooled until the next promo goes live on Friday, March 21, 2025, so chances are you pack the better version, no matter how low.
