EA will slowly reveal some Super Mega Baseball 4 news in the coming days with a full reveal scheduled for Tuesday, May 2. While most gamers predicted to see in-game monetization of some sort when EA announced they purchased Metalhead Software, the team confirms there are no plans for it. Similar to what they have done previously, there will be extra content available as DLC after launch.

We’ve been heads down building a bigger and better baseball experience in the next SMB. That means we’ve been continuing to develop new game content and features that you all have been requesting and we’ve wanted to pursue for years. Developing Super Mega Baseball as a part of EA SPORTS has been an amazing process where we’ve received more support and resourcing for our creative vision than we’ve ever had. This game is every bit a Metalhead game as any of our first three releases; made by the same team (plus some new faces) and we think that’ll be obvious when you see it.
Hey SMB Fans, it's been a while… https://t.co/yjxkszwPdw #SuperMegaBaseball
