Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Patch #2 Arrives with Disappointing Launch Compensation

Nacon has released Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown patch #2 today along with compensation for the early launch issues. This update mainly targets graphical improvements for the PlayStation 5, while also optimizing game performance on PC and Xbox Series X|S. The team also addressed some much needed network upgrades, better peripheral compatibility and a range of bug fixes.

The Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown developers announced that all Gold Edition players who played before October 12 will receive an exclusive ‘Adventurer’ off-road edition of the 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe. This car will be available in the Cross Country category from level 15, designed for Hong Kong Island’s off-road trails.

The Porsche won’t be available right away, but will be delivered during the first weeks of Season 2 as developers “polish” its integration. Players will also receive a pack of 5 ‘Pioneers of the Solar Crown’ premium stickers with more details to come later, much to the dismay of long time fans who voiced their disappointment on X.

According to the official post the launch compensation is for Gold Edition players only, nothing for the users that grabbed the Silver Sharps or Silver Streets Edition.

The team continues to listen to player feedback on AI difficulty and behavior, along with ranked matchmaking, car performance and server stability. Check out the patch notes for the latest improvements and fixes as the team gears up for season 2.
