With over 800 available cars, Forza Horizon 5 features one of the biggest garages of any racing game. And, within this collection is a special place for drag-racing enthusiasts. From German masterpieces to underrated KEI gems, Forza 5 features some of the fastest drag cars ever created. That said, here are the best drag cars in Forza Horizon 5.
Best Drag Cars In Forza Horizon 5
2010 Mosler MT900S

- Price: 320,000 CR at the Autoshow
The 2010 Mosler MT900S is a beast, earning the official spot as the fastest RWD car in the game. Built by Mosler Automotive, it was created to be as light as possible. In fact, the 900 in the name refers to Mosler’s attempt to achieve a target weight of 900 kilograms. And, while the car is a little over the weight Mosler wanted it to be, it still achieves lethal speeds.
Featuring a stock supercharged V8 engine, the MT900S can easily handle speeds upwards of 200 mph. However, that’s just the stock variant. With the right tuning and upgrades, it becomes a different ballgame. If you swap the engine, add the proper upgrades, and tune it to perfection, the MT900s can go upwards of 280 mph without breaking a sweat. That said, it’s the perfect car if you want a rewarding rear-wheel drive experience without breaking the bank.
2019 Rimac Concept Two

- Price: 2,000,000 CR at the Autoshow
The Rimac Concept Two is an all-electric engineering marvel featuring rapid acceleration. Manufactured by Rimac, the Concept Two was created to be among the top 10 fastest cars in the world. So, the game reflects that with the car’s insane base top speed of 260 mph. While that’s impressive on its own, what makes it even better is that the 0-60 is just 1.6 seconds, making it offensively overpowered in drag races.
The only drawback to Concept 2 is that it doesn’t have any engine upgrades, but that is expected from an electric vehicle. That said, the base engine boasts a roaring 1914 horsepower and 2300NM of torque. On top of that, it has a ton of upgrades that can bring the top speed and acceleration even higher. Overall, it’s one of the best vehicles to buy if you want a fast car from the get-go, without adding any upgrades.
2011 BMW X5 M Forza Edition (S2)

- Price: 100,000 CR at the Autoshow
If you want the perfect all-rounder vehicle, the BMW X5 is the way to go. This baby is a cheat code if you manage to get it at the start of the game. Producing almost 2000 Horse Power, the X5 is fast, to say the least. Additionally, the car only weighs 1250 kilograms, which makes it crazy lightweight for an SUV.
Since it’s an SUV, the X5 is good for both on and off-road races. On top of that, it features a really good car mastery, that can help obtain a ton of XP and skill points in the beginning. While its base features already make it an overpowered vehicle, you can upgrade it further to make it unstoppable. And, if you custom-tune it yourself, you probably won’t need any other vehicle for drag races.
2020 Koenigsegg Jesko

- Price: 2,800,000 CR at the Autoshow
Koenigsegg is without a doubt one of the greatest car manufacturers in the world. However, they still outdid themselves with the Jesko. This car looks like something straight out of a movie, and that’s still an understatement. Featuring a twin-turbocharged V8 engine, the Jesko can reach a top speed of 284 mph without adding any upgrades.
However, that isn’t even its selling point. What makes the Jesko special is how much downforce it brings to the table. Since it was designed to break the 300 mph barrier, the Jesko can produce more than 2200 lbs of downforce, making it perfect for drag races. On top of that, it features a 9-speed transmission, which makes the drive as smooth as butter. While it’s more on the expensive side, it’s a great investment if you want to buy your first hypercar in Forza Horizon 5.
Porsche 906 Carrera 6 1996

- Price: 2,000,000 CR at the Autoshow
Created by the infamous German manufacturer, the 906 Carrera is one of the most successful racecars of its generation. Featuring a 2.0 Litre naturally aspirated engine, it isn’t the fastest of vehicles in its stock form. However, when upgraded and tuned, it does wonders.
Since the stock variant is naturally aspirated, you can add turbo through the upgrades. On top of that, the engine can be converted to a racing V12. Once you add all the upgrades and tunes, the 906 becomes one of the fastest drag cars in the game, with its top speed reaching upwards of 280 mph. On top of that, once upgraded, the acceleration on this car becomes lethal and easily competes with the Lamborghini Diablo GTR. Overall, the Porsche 906 Carrera is the perfect blend of speed and nostalgia and a must-have for every classic racer fan.
Noble M400

- Price: DLC – Car Pass
Only 75 of the Noble M400 were ever produced, making it one of the most desired hypercars in the world. Due to this rarity, it was introduced in Forza Horizon 5 through the DLC car pass. And, If you manage to get your hands on this vehicle, you’re in for a special treat.
Featuring a twin-turbo V6 engine, the M400 is already quick off the rip. However, once tuned for drag races, it becomes a monster. With speeds reaching up to 285 mph, it can easily give competition to the Koenigsegg Jesko. On top of that, the acceleration of this thing is insane. In fact, it produces so much torque on launch that it pops a wheelie, making the drag races even cooler. So, if you haven’t had the chance to drive it, we recommend trying it at least once.
1997 McLaren F1 GT

- Price: 15,000,000 CR at the Autoshow
Getting into the big leagues, we have one of the best retro supercars in the game. With only 3 of these ever produced, the McLaren F1 GT is as rare in the game as it is in real life. So, it comes with a hefty price tag. However, considering how well it performs, it’s definitely worth it. To begin with, the car looks beautiful. It’s quite easily one of the best-looking supercars in the game. But, looks aren’t only where it shines.
With a 6.1L naturally aspirated V12, the 97 Mclaren makes winning drag races effortless. And, while it’s insanely fast out the gate, it can be upgraded to become even more OP. When equipped with turbo and custom-tuned for drag racing events, the F1 becomes one of the fastest cars in the game, with its top speed reaching close to 300 mph. So, you won’t ever have to worry about losing again. All in all, while it certainly puts a dent in your wallet, the F1 GT deserves every penny for its performance.
1999 Lamborghini Diablo GTR

- Price: Get through the Car Mastery skill tree of the 1997 Lamborghini Diablo SV
When it comes to creating hyper-fast supercars, not many do it better than Lamborghini. And, the 1999 Diablo GTR is no exception. This Italian beauty is easily one of the best choices for drag racing. Due to its roaring 6.0L V12 engine, it produces lethal acceleration. Plus, since it’s supposed to be driven in straight lines, the rear wing creates extra downforce to give it that extra nudge.
However, as with all other cars in Forza, its real speed doesn’t come out until it’s upgraded and tuned. So, you can upgrade the engine to a 6.5L V12, add a twin-turbo, and all other necessary upgrades to make it a complete beast. Once everything is installed, the GTR can clear the festival drag strip in less than 12 seconds, making it a clear podium finisher.
Autozam AZ-1

- Price: DLC – JDM Jewels Car Pack
This is arguably the most unique car on this list. Part of the JDM Jewels Car Pack, the Autozam AZ-1 is a DLC car that is classified as a KEI vehicle. This is a category of vehicles in Japan that are supposed to be economical and compact. That said, the AZ-1 is just completely insane.
Since it’s a compact vehicle, it weighs only 776 kg and looks like a golf cart. But, it can easily pull speeds over 290 mph, making it faster than almost all the supercars in the game. Pulling over 1500HP at its max, the AZ-1 can completely obliterate any expensive hypercar in the game, including the Lamborghini GTR and the Koenigsegg Jesko. If it wasn’t for the Pro Stock Camaro, the AZ-1 would easily take the spot of the fastest drag car in the game.
Chevrolet Summit Racing Pro Stock Camaro

- Price: Get via the Festival Playlist or the Auction House
Designed specifically for straight lines, the Pro Stock Camaro is a cheat code for drag racing. Weighing just over a ton and featuring an 8.2L engine, this thing rips apart the competition. In its stock form, the Camaro pulls a top speed of over 210 mph, which is enough to win more than half the races on its own.
However, it becomes insanely overpowered when upgraded to drag-racing specifications. Pulling over 1800 HP when tuned, the Camaro can complete a ¼ mile in less than 7 seconds. On top of that, with a 0 to 100 of just 1.6 seconds, it clears the festival drag strip in just over 11 seconds, earning it the spot of the fastest drag car in the game. The only downside to the Camaro is that it’s really hard to find, and if you see it in the auction house, chances are it’ll be listed for 20 million credits. That said, it’s a valid price to pay for the fastest vehicle in the game.
