Ubisoft has released the Year 2 Pass and Season 5 update for The Crew Motorfest on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. This update introduces the free new island of Maui, featuring over nine new areas and biomes, along with more than 470 km of new roads. The seamless transition between Maui and O’ahu, with no loading time, ensures a smooth and immersive experience for all players.
Two new playlists are debuting with the latest update as well. Made In Japan Volume 2 builds on the popular original, bringing a high-intensity night street racing experience, free for all players. Completing this playlist unlocks Rival Races, a feature where players can challenge 21 rivals spread across O’ahu and Maui. Each race is randomly generated, giving players the thrill of unexpected face-offs and exclusive rewards.
The Chase Squad Playlist, available through the Year 2 Pass, takes players on an intense journey to track down and outmaneuver street racing rivals across the island. Completing this playlist opens new open-world chases against 21 unique street racers. Players will experience exclusive music tracks by French artist Carpenter Brut, known for his horror-inspired blend of metal, rock and electronic music, creating an atmospheric soundtrack for these high-stakes pursuits. The Chase Squad Playlist is included in the new Year 2 Pass, which can be purchased separately or as part of the Gold and Ultimate Editions of The Crew Motorfest.
Season 5 brings major enhancements for all The Crew Motorfest players, including functional rearview mirrors on next-gen consoles and PC offering improved situational awareness and a clear view of competitors and surroundings. The update also introduces Prestige Tickets, a new currency for unlocking missed rewards from Summit Contests. New Grand Race modifiers and No Collision features add depth to races on Maui, with more modifiers planned based on player feedback.
Additionally, The Crew Motorfest is set to be optimized for the PlayStation 5 Pro at launch tomorrow. The game will run at 60 FPS with an average resolution of 1696p during missions, upscaled using PSSR technology. This optimization enhances visual quality, delivering sharper details, denser vegetation and more immersive crowds for an unparalleled experience. The update also includes plenty of fixes, improvements and additions, so be sure to read the patch notes for the full details.
