If you’re an old-school OSer, or even someone from another community that eventually became part of OS, you might remember “the countdown” that we would do for football games. I remember it most fondly with NCAA Football, so it’s been brought back for EA Sports College Football 25.
We’re going by the “official” release date, which is July 19, so that means we’re 49 days (48?) away (early access starts on July 16). I’m going to need a ruling on how we count July 19 itself in this I think, but for now I’m going with 49 days. In part, I’m doing that because OS user bigwill33 started the thread and he’s going with 49 as well for today. Plus, I want to post a picture of Julius Peppers.
How the thread works is that basically every day we can post pictures of some of our favorite college football players if they’re in the number that coincides with the countdown day. On top of that, it’s a general spot to group up and just chat about how hyped you’re feeling, what team you were maybe thinking about using, and so on. The rules are pretty loose, with the one overarching thing keeping it all together is keeping count of the days with pictures of dudes in jerseys.
