Spear Interactive has shared additional details on Dynasty Mode for Varsity High School Football, updated equipment options and new gameplay footage featuring DB logic.
The above clip highlights their first iteration for DB logic in man coverage, route reading, cut-following, and swatting. According to the developers, DB awareness ratings will significantly impact gameplay, with elite DBs noticeably locking down their assignments and forcing changes in strategy. The team also shared some updated equipment options for player customization.
As for Dynasty Mode, they have started implementing the ability for players to manage multiple seasons, including graduating players, growth spurts, coaching report cards, job offers and more.
The emergent situation engine UI is also in place, presenting key decisions from parents, staff, players, or boosters, allowing the coach to agree, disagree or influence outcomes. Players will need to manage the challenges of demanding WRs, pushy parents and unethical boosters.
Varsity High School Football is still in early development with a release date yet to be announced. Fans can support the team on Patreon for PlayTest access and wishlist on Steam.
