Before attempting to drag a member of the roster around the ring, it’s best to inflict some damage so they’re either stunned or too tired to perform a counter. After spending some time wearing them down, here’s what you need to do:

  • Start a grapple with Circle/B.
  • Press R1/RB.
  • Walk while holding the opponent using the left analog stick.

The next step is where you’ve got plenty of options when performing the next attack. Moving them close to the ropes, the turnbuckle, or the guardrail and pressing Square/X will smash their head into the corner or lean them up against the ropes.

To push them against the ropes, don’t perform an attack. Move them forward towards the ropes and wait for the game to automatically prop them up before unleashing another assault. Once done, you can hit the grapple button again to perform a move.

How To Drag A Grounded Opponent

Moving a grounded opponent in WWE 2K25 is a similar process to moving an opponent who’s standing on their own two feet. For those looking to position an opponent lying on the mat, these are the steps to follow:

  • Next to the downed opponent, press Circle/B to start a grapple.
  • Press L1/LB to grab an arm and a foot.
  • Use the left stick to drag them around the ring.

There’s only a short amount of time before the opponent breaks free so be quick to decide the next plan of attack.

How To Throw An Opponent Outside Of The Ring

Taking the fight outside of the ring adds even more chaos to the chaos and provides even more opportunities to create some show-stopping moments. To launch an opponent over the ropes and onto the ground, here are the steps to follow:

  • If an opponent is inside the ring, press Circle/B to initiate a grapple.
  • Hold Circle/B and the left stick towards the ropes to throw them over.
  • Once outside, grab the opponent with another grapple.
  • Press L1/LB and the left stick to move them towards the guardrail to use the full arena. You can use the ring post, guardrail, or announce table.
  • When in position, press Square/X to activate the attack prompt.

Following these steps will give you the best chance at using your full set of moves for maximum impact during matches.
