WWE 2K25: How to Unlock 2010 CM Punk, Explained

This fire burns!

For the first time in over a decade, CM Punk is now included as a non-DLC character in a WWE 2K video game. This is surely a positive development for fans of the Second City Saint, who have been clamoring to use him and no longer have to resort to Community Creations in order to do it. But while the normal version of CM Punk is available in the game by default, other versions of him are available to unlock in WWE 2K25.

One of these versions is CM Punk ’10, based on his 2010 Straight Edge Society persona, and has the legendary “This Fire Burns” theme song. Unlike certain characters in the game, CM Punk ’10 isn’t a DLC expansion or someone that can be bought through the Purchasables. Instead, you have to unlock this particular Punk through MyFACTION.

In order to unlock CM Punk ’10 in WWE 2K25, you’ll need to complete the Chicago World Tour in MyFACTION. However, it won’t be as simple as opening MyFACTION and just completing the tour — you’ll first have to complete other tours first. Because this is a 2K game, and they couldn’t just make this easy, right? (eye roll)

The process to unlocking CM Punk ’10 is kind of annoying, but you must do two things prior:

  • Complete the Orlando World Tour (10 matches): To progress at all in World Tour, you’ll have to complete Orlando first. Once you’ve done Orlando, you can move on to Philadelphia.
  • Complete Power Moves in Philadelphia (10 matches): After doing Orlando, you must complete Power Moves in the Philadelphia World Tour. This will be an additional 10 matches.

Once you’ve done these two tasks, you will unlock the Chicago World Tour. Completing it in its entirety will unlock CM Punk ’10. But because this just can’t be easy, you will need other cards to beat the Chicago World Tour and unlock him — namely, the Sapphire Roman Reigns card.

To unlock the Sapphire Roman Reigns card, you’ll first need to beat the City of Punk and Straight Edge in the Chicago World Tour. Then, you’ll unlock Boston. There, you need to complete the One By One and To War challenges. After that, the Los Angeles World Tour will unlock. There, you need to complete the Reverse Shot challenge to unlock the Sapphire Roman Reigns card.

Once you’ve unlocked the Tribal Chief, you can go back to the Chicago World Tour and complete it to unlock CM Punk ’10, who will now be available in all modes. But let’s be honest — the only reason people are so anxious to get this card is for the “This Fire Burns” theme song.
