2K has shared their latest WWE 2K25 Ringside Report today focusing on Universe mode. Some details about the mode were shared in earlier announcements, but the team is now offering more insight into the return of Promos and how they add depth to storytelling.
Superstars will have five different promo types to choose from, including Self-Promos, Call-Outs, Promo Interrupts, Issue Open Challenges and Accept Open Challenges, each playing a role in shaping rivalries. Whether you’re building tension or setting up surprise showdowns, promos give you more control over how feuds play out.
Players will have more control over scheduling in 2K25 with the option to run up to three shows per day, combining Major Shows, Minor Shows and Premium Live Events (PLEs). PLEs can also extend across two nights, making it easier to create large multi-night events like WrestleMania. Tournament PLEs like King and Queen of the Ring are also included, with eight Superstars competing in 1v1 matches. Winners will move on and the last Superstar standing will earn a title shot at SummerSlam.
